Zero-Gravity.ai

About

A coherent body of thinking. The practice is one application of it.

Zero-Gravity.ai began with a recurring observation: organisations often possess enough data, expertise and ambition, yet still struggle to turn what they know into coordinated action.

The recurring pattern

Across transformations, data programmes and complex organisations, the same pattern kept returning.

  • Information was available but fragmented.
  • Insight arrived without ownership.
  • Decisions were made without movement.
  • Initiatives accumulated without momentum.
  • Technology progressed while the organisation struggled to absorb it.
  • Value remained assumed rather than demonstrated.

The problem was rarely a lack of intelligence. It was the friction preventing intelligence from moving.

Why the name Zero Gravity

Not weightlessness. Conditions for movement.

Zero Gravity does not mean no governance, no controls, no structure or no accountability. It means creating the organisational conditions in which information, decisions and action can move with less unnecessary friction.

Lighter is never the goal. Lighter is the method.

The objective is measurable movement and demonstrable value.

From observation to Framework

A practical language for recognising where intelligence loses momentum.

The recurring observation became a connected set of concepts — Organisational Gravity, Decision-to-Action Latency, Automation Readiness, Return on Data, Information Performance, the Semantic Layer, Information & Process Management, and the Proof Model.

Together they form a language for recognising where intelligence loses momentum and for determining what must change.

The practice

The practice is one application of the thinking.

Zero-Gravity.ai is a small, senior practice. It is pragmatic and evidence-oriented, comfortable across strategy and execution, and focused on measurable movement across data, AI, information, processes, governance and organisational design.

Bart Van Mulders

Founder, Writer, Advisor and Builder.

Bart has spent much of his career working where organisational complexity, data, technology and decision-making meet. Zero-Gravity.ai grew from the patterns he repeatedly encountered there — and from the conviction that organisations do not need more intelligence as much as they need better movement.

Writing and observation remain central to how the body of thinking develops. The essays are where new ideas are tested before they enter the practice.

Who you may work with

A small core. A carefully chosen network.

The core Zero-Gravity.ai team is deliberately small and senior. Where an engagement needs specialist depth in data, analytics, AI, architecture or information management, we draw on a network of trusted collaborators.

The people you meet in the first conversation are the people who do the work — not a sales layer speaking on behalf of an unseen team.

How we work

Small teams. Senior hands. Honest engagements.

Zero-Gravity.ai is designed for situations where senior attention, cross-disciplinary thinking and practical movement matter more than scale for its own sake.

  • Direct involvement of the people who do the thinking.
  • No artificial staffing pyramid.
  • Measurable questions and clear ownership.
  • Evidence over theatre.
  • Willingness to challenge the assignment.
  • Willingness to say no when the work will not create movement.
  • Knowledge transfer built in.
  • Internal capability rather than long-term dependency.
